Burlington, NC - anything to do?
I'm headed to lovely Burlington, NC tomorrow for a few days for work... is there anything to do there? I went about a year ago and was bored because I couldn't figure out how to run my laptop from the hotel room. I'll likely be suffering from DU withdrawal.

Unfortunately, my boss & I are splitting the car rental... so, he'll likely have it most of the time.

1. Do you play acoustic bluegrass?
I'll bet there are alot of opportunities to find people to sit in with.

2. No, I have no musical ability whatsoever
I don't think there is much to do down there unless I can finagle the car and drive up to Chapel Hill one night.

Heck, I can't even get to a movie theater!

6. I live in neighboring Greensboro , NC
and there is nothing to do in Burlington . You could drive to the surrounding areas like Greensboro or you could check out Raleigh , Durham and Chapel Hill .

8. i wish
see my previous lament - my boss & I are sharing a car rental for the time we're down there. I doubt I'd be able to convince him to drive up to Chapel Hill.

7. Drive to neighboring Mebane and Efland
these are small communities but the local country store in Mebane has a bigger nightlife than Burlington. Mebane also has a pretty good auction house if you're into antiques. I've been there lots.

:silly:
