3. Re-affirms my loathing for the Sci-Fi channel

What B sci-fi TV show are they going to dig up and fuck around with next, V? The miniseries was bad enough (not that the source material was quality stuff to begin with), and now they foist this crap on us.

Then again this is the same channel that banned shorts from MST3k and killed it with time slot gymnastics, cancelled Farscape and gave us a tv show based on Tremors.

I'm almost glad the rumored TV show that was supposed to take place inbetween Children of Dune and God-Emperor of Dune never materialized. As decent as the minis were, these incompetent bastards couldn't be trusted with it.

I didn't love it, but i did like. Battlestar Galactica is a B sci-fi show, but i grew up with it. So, i have a fondness for it that surpasses my expectations of it's quality. (if that makes sense)

You're right about MST3K! I don't know why Comedy Cental ever gave up on the show! It never really belonged on the Sci-fi channel.

The Dune miniseries was good, but i wish Dune would get the same big budget theatrical treatment LOTR received.

I just watched my recordings of the movie -- the new Galactica is easily the best piece of S-F on TV in years, since Fox axed Space: Above and Beyond.

I liked this piece of news:

Dirk Benedict, who played Starbuck in the original series, is rumored to be playing the character of God in the first-season finale. However, this rumor has not yet been confirmed by the Sci-Fi Channel. (http://www.galactica2003.net/articles/index.shtml -- August 10th news)

Now don't that just beat all?
