My dog has an ear infection.
It's the 4th time this has happpened to my beagle mix in nine months. She has taken enough prednasone(sp?) to really worry me. The vet just can't seem to knock this completely out.

This evening I've given her the last bit of ear drops from her last visit (back around the 4th of July) and also a childrens aspiren but the infection is still bothering her. Anyone have any other suggestions for the short term?

1. You know, Jack is prone to ear infections.
And he has a skin condition which he inherited. Poor little guy. But, prednisone will counteract antibiotics. Perhaps a good ear cleaning, a good strong anti-biotic shot, ear drops ( Jack uses Gotikas - I don't know what you would use up there, this is a combo of : Gentimiacin, 3mg. Ketconazol,10mg. Lidocain, 10mg.) Maybe even anti-biotic pills after the shot for about 7 days to really get rid of the infection.
