Poll question: POLL: What did the Bushies buy McCain with?
For a guy who not so long ago condemned the Bushies and was mentioned by quite a few as a possible Dem VP candidate, Sen. John McCain has so far been the biggest whore at the Repuke Convention.

So, what did they give him?

McCain is now and always has been one of the Republican faithful. It amazes me that anyone here thinks otherwise.

...John McCain, even though he was a repuklican, actually was one hell of a guy, who shot from the hip and didn't care who he offended, because ultimately he knew the meaning of public service. I even thought, at one time, that he might be the first repug I would consider voting for. Now, I watch in amazement as McCain aids and abets those that would stifle our democracy of the people.

My question is not what have they offered him, No, it's what do they have on him.

12. What they have on him is right
when McCain was debriefed from VietNam, his debriefing is classified. What is contained in those papers? who would have access to the contents? Chimpco would - he knows what McCain is trying to hide.

15. Exactly! Although I've always suspected him of playing both ends
against the middle and of being an all around horror I wondered when I heard the bs pour out of his mouth (not much, just as much as I could hear 'til I could get to the radio and pull the plug) just exactly what do they have on him?

14. Bush didn't buy him. McCain's naked ambition is what brough him back.
Fact: you can't win the nomination if the party establishment doesn't back you. He learned this in 2000. The group gathered at MSG now IS the party establishment.

Prior to May, I believe McCain had little intention of running in '08, and this is why he was more of a 'maverick.' But I believe when he saw the excitement amongst moderates generated by the prospect of running with Kerry, he saw that he could really make a go of it in 4 years.

Barring health problems, he's gonna run. That's the only clear signal he sent last night.

16. He's utterly twisted...
..in some way. That's how the Republican Party works. They blackmail one another into power.

If you, for example, are a Republican who likes to dress up in a diaper, suck on a pacifier, and have a buxom seventeen year old nanny push you around in a giant custom made stroller, then hell, you are halfway to becoming a Republican Senator.

21. A fully equiped 100% back Shrubya Inc election machine for
his 2008 campaign.

So much for political ethics.

Confession time: I actually sent the son of a bitch money in 2000. I didn't agree with all of his stances, but I was willing to compromise because I thought, I really thought he would be the one guy to clean up dirty politics for good once he got to the Whitehouse. He sold his soul to the Evil Empire, for whatever reason, and for that there is no making up for. I will never again trust a repug politician. Ever. I'm depressed and disillusioned over the level that political elections have fallen to, the outright lies and slander thrown at Kerry by the right, and the refusal by the media to hold ShrubyaInc. to the same level of scrutiny as Kerry, but more determined than ever to make sure Kerry gets to the Whitehouse.

After last night, McCain, Rudy, and all the rest of the so called liberal or centrists repugs can go fuck themselves. They are complicit in Shrubya's underhanded dealings either by not coming out against them or by selling their political futures to his war machine to what they hope will insure victory. Fuck 'em all, every last one of them.
