Well, my Kerry bumper sticker was "Cheneyed" Friday...
My car was parked here in the parking lot at my workplace last Friday, with the John Kerry bumpersticker prominently displayed on the back (along w/2 other anti-Bush stickers). I'd been very surprised that nothing had happened to my car, since I live in Freep-Central, California.

Well, Friday it finally happened. At 5:00 o'clock I left the building, went out to my car, and found a Bush/Cheney sticker slapped over the middle of the Kerry sticker. Fortunately, I was able to peel the offending piece of trash from my ride.

On the one hand, I'm amused that the opposition would resort to something this petty and juvenile. As well, I'm only going to have this particular car for another 2 weeks.

BUT.....

On the other hand, I'm quite pissed. Technically, this was vandalism.

I know this has happened to others in other states, from all the posts I've read here on DU. Is this PLANNED by the RNC, do you suppose? Is this a tactic they TELL their supporters to use?

I think a scathing LTTE to my local newsrags is in order. Any suggestions?

1. I had my car spit on over a Kerry sticker
I put it in the back window, and I came out from an errand to find some dark, stickly liquid (coke or pepsi, I assume) spit all over the window and side of the car. I could pinpoint the attack because I'd just had the car washed.
I waited a bit to see if I could find a freeper-looking type come out and get into a car near me, but no one did for several minutes.
My husband keeps telling me that we shouldn't have anything on our house or our car that could provoke vandalism, but I refuse to be cowed.

3. Same situation here.
Miz t. doesn't want our cars damaged.
We finally compromised.
I can put them on the '98, but not the '03.

2. My car was broken into
I have numerous anti-Bush stickers on my car and it was broken into over the weekend. Are they related I don't know.

4. I'm on my third bumper sticker
when the first was removed, they also nicely keyed the driver side of my van. Then the second one was removed and now I am on my third.

I would never touch THEIR property.

I live in the Dallas area, btw. Funny thing, though, I sure as hell don't see that many bush stickers! And I drive ALL over this place.

5. "We would never touch THEIR property". Damn. You're right!
THAT'S what we should be trumpeting all over the place: Democrats = Law Abiding. Bush Supporters = No respect for private property.

It's both true AND damning!

6. Its just a happy coincidence
The RNC knows that most Bush supporters and Republicans in general are loudmouthed, bigoted bullies.

So they know that intimidating, harassing, and vandalizing the propery of others is second nature to these Nazi-wannabes. They know that their supporters will bully, shout down, and intimidate the left, so they don't have to encourage it.

7. There was a light pole (the kind with the gray electrical box on it) at
the end of our street with a sticker war going on. First Kerry, then that hideous "I stand proudly ....Bush", then another Kerry, then Bush. Then Kerry. There are none there now. Someone came and removed them. :hi:

Although there is a lightpole down on 12 Mile in Warren that still has a Carter sticker on it.

8. File a complaint with the cops
Yes, yes, I know that they'll probably do nothing (and in fairness, they might not be able to do anything) But it is not futile to file a complaint; if everyone who is vandalized does so, the cops may get to see a pattern that you wouldn't be able to. They might not take action, but you never know; they might.

10. I saw a Frost sign that some nazi pulled out of someone's lawn
left lying by the side of the road... they were inspired by Sessions himself, no doubt. Heck... it may have been Sessions himself!

11. Someone keyed my Kerry sticker a while back.
I have several anti-Bush stickers on my car, but they scratched the least offensive one out of all of them. It was also the most easily replaceable.
