2. Of course. "Holland" for "Sail on Sailor."
Album was the biggest flop of all the Beach Boys albums.

I bought Guns N' Roses' Appeitite For Destruction and Pantera's Cowboy From Hell after hearing Welcome To The Jungle and Cowboys From Hell on the radio a couple times. Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name Of I had to hear only twice!

7. "Pilgrim" by Eric Clapton.
I bought that one just for "My Father's Eyes". Surprisingly, I don't like any of the other songs on that CD.

12. I wish I had all my old "one song" 45's.
Especially all the Rolling Stones' 45's. (Some of them turned out to be 2-songers!)

13. If LP's count...
If LP's count, I did it all the time back in High School. The Police's, "Synchronicity" for the single, "Synchronicity I"
Kansas, "The Masque" for "Child of Innocence"
Eagle's Live for the live version of Seven Bridges Road
Creedence Clearwater "Revival" for Sail On

Lot's and lot's. But, I have to add that in most cases, I ended up enjoying the deep cuts more than the single I bought it for :)

14. Not as much as I used to
Once I discovered downloading music, I stopped that practice. Now I can listen before I buy to see if the rest of it is worth buying.

I have discovered new artists that way.

16. I bought Rick Astley's CD based on "Never Gonna Give You Up"
And the whole CD was a sheer delight! :-)

He did a great cover version of the Nat King Cole tune "When I Fall in Love" which was wonderful.

17. I've done it a lot of times, but the only time I can think of
where I didn't like especially the rest of the album was when I bought a James album just for "Laid" - the rest was okay but not great.

18. Natalie Imbruglia's debut for "Torn."
and, perhaps, the cover photo.

Lou Gramm's awful solo album for that great song "Midnight Blue" (Hey, even REM used to cover it).
