MomaKef and I are going to be vactioning there the 19th-21st or 22nd, so we can look for a new place to live out there. We won't be moving this year, but sometime next year. That is, of course, if we like it out there.

6. Friends of mine lived in Reno for a couple of years.

They work for the Department of the Interior and thought that they'd have a better quality of life away from the DC area -- and they are progressives. Hated Reno, could not wait to transfer back to DC. It was somewhat cheaper than DC, but they found the area overly conservative and without much fun to do -- unless they went to Lake Tahoe and hiked or into San Francisco.

We're going to be moving somewhere next year. Mom's asthma is getting worse the older she gets and winter is getting to be horrible for her. So Southwestward we go...just where Southwest, we don't know yet.

One thing is for sure: it's not going to be freeping Texas.
