Laura Bush was a Democrat?

I was watching the A&E channel (flipping through about everything Bush related) and it's about Laura Bush's life. She was a Democrat before she married George and she had envisioned marrying someone very intellectual and quiet like herself. Members of the Bush family said their house was like Animal House and Laura would be sitting in the corner reading a book! Then mother-in-law Barbara Bush got ahold of her and taught her how to be a Republican wife more or less! AH! She IS a stepford wife isn't she!?

Then they had the twins on in an interview and they seem very immature and too outspoken like their dad, at least Jenna did. The other one seemd more like Laura. They are way too non-intellectual and spoiled rich to be acceptable for the White house. At least they could act like they had a little more intelligence than they do. It's almost like watching Paris Hilton or whoever that girl is (I never watch it).

and she didn't officially change her party registration to Democratic until 2002 I believe. Of course, her ideas didn't change, she just realized she was in the wrong party.
