What a mind.

3. His music is much deeper
than the surface name-calling you point out.

9. Very clever lyrics, very poignant stories, very funny too
I don't take everything he says so literally. And I'm a woman and a fag, er, gay.

10. good for you, Soothsayer
His lyrics are amazing, and he *IS* very very funny. People hear a few snippets and think they have him pegged. He's a genius.

11. I was hooked from the very first album. Never heard anything like it
before or since! Powerful, colorful, poetic, rhythmic, soulful. I think he's an important voice.

12. *High five*
THIS queer thinks he's brilliant, too. Very few modern artists have impressed me the way he has. I hear his stuff and just shake my head and say "damn, that's good".

4. About as talented as bushler...
I would rather watch Barry Manilow,Neil Diamond, and any other sickening old fart you can think of than him....rap is bad enough but rap from a white guy with a squeeky voice is just too much...please bbbrrraarrff...i gotta run to the toilet.

14. I like him too.
The first two albums were all RIAA record sales middle white America fodder. They were fun, but they needed to be taken with a huge grain of salt. I enjoyed them but I knew it's a money making publicity stunt. But, Lose Yourself, and 8 Mile (I think those are the names of the songs) are really great. Very insperational. Kinda like the Beastie Boys. Pump out what they want and when they buy unconditionaly spread your message.

And I loved the early beasties so leave me alone.

I'm drunk and refuse to spell check this train wreck. I hope everyone has a great night. :-)

15. lol
I'm not a spelling nazi. Relax.

I'm glad you like him. I think he is a very important voice, and I wish people would actually give him a listen before writing him off as a homophobe and misogynist.

18. I am the opposite way round...
I found his first two albums to be much better than the third one.

And I love all the Beasties, yes, even "To the Five Boroughs".

Good news Dookus, thanks fro the heads up.

Honestly I think Eminem is incredibly overrated. His voice is annoying as hell and he releases the same two singles over and over: the "funny" track that makes fun of everyone followed by the "serious" track talking about how shitty his life is. Throw in the blatant homophia and misogyny (and I have listened to him, I still think he's a homophobe and misogynist, or at least uses it as a way to sell records, which is almost as bad) and I can't figure out how any sensible person can like that guy.

17. I don't find his voice annoying at all
and I find a great variety in his singles.

I consider myself a rather sensible person and I find him talented, compelling, smart and funny.

I think it's possible to dislike something without thinking those who like it are stupid, insane or uneducated.
