...where someone altered the cover shot to say "Fit For Command", there's been a vast right-wing conspiracy that B&N is purposely not carrying it because of some perceived left-wing agenda.

I'm not kidding - I've taken the calls and spoken to the morans myself.

Their assumption is what, that only left-wingers read? (They might be on to something there.) B&N is just as capitalist as Dubya or anyone else -- if it sells, they'll carry it. Not their fault that the folks at Regnery Publishing are incompetents.

Hear this all the time. Along with "What's this, the 'I Hate Bush' table? (We call it 'Current Affairs') :eyes:

We're told to tell them we carry all books, support the first amendment, etc etc. Plus I tell them to take it up with Regnery for being so incompetent (but I'm more diplomatic than that.)

But they can't stop me from putting the progressive books on Staff Rec! ;-) Currently: "Attack Poodles" :thumbsup:
