Speaking for myself, I'm one of those...dedicated...newbies. I'm a rock-solid Democrat whose been lurking for months. When I chose to add myself to the traffic of a busy website, I feel the least I can do is contribute to the cost -- I'm no freeloader. Thanks again for your backhanded welcome.

You're most certainly correct that it was intended as an insult! For posters who don't have a moderator icon next to their names, they're a little too territorial about this board. But then, moderator status requires tact & reason, doesn't it. ;)

14. You know I lurked here for at least a year before I ever

registered. And then once I registered, I hardly ever posted. I was sucking off of everyone and learning everything I could. I was politically and historically naive. So I think it is reasonable to think that someone who has been lurking for some time to register and donate at the same time.

I also lurked, off and on, for years. I remember this place being call the Grassy Knoll Society. I was shocked to see how conservative some want it to be and how many freepers are lurking. So, I can understand the paranoia and don't really mind.
