I promised everyone that I would report back here the first chance I got after I got home. I got home a little over an hour ago. My surgery was last week (Thursday Aug 26th) and I spent a week in the hospital.
My stay was longer than usual due to the fact that I had some swelling which prevented me from really keeping anything down. The swelling is still there but each day it gets better. I'm still really tired so I can't really go into much detail right now, so maybe when I'm a bit more rested I can give some more specifics.
perforated ulcer. I spent 9 days total in the hospital (4 in intensive care and 5 on the surgical floor)so I can commiserate with you.
Doesn't it feel great to be back home even if you do get to feeling tired and in some pain? I felt a lot like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz cos there really is no place like home! There's no place like home!
Get plenty of rest and take care of yourself where you can get stronger every day!
