Freepers at Video store.
First and foremost, I used to work at this store, which makes it even worse. However, since I left about a year ago, they hired a bunch of assholes to replace their one stellar worker.

My friend, however, still works there, so we rent stuff every so often.

Tonight, we returned a copy of the Awful Truth that we had rented, the stupid fuck employee said something about how Michael Moore is nothing but a stupid liar.

That's when it was on, my buddy stepped away knowing full well what was about to happen.

"stupid liar? when did he lie?"

"the 9-11 report proved his movie wrong"

"did you even see it?"

"YES!!!!"

"What part did it prove wrong?"

"I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO DIGNIFY THAT WITH A RESPONSE!!!"

obviously angered, i egged him on.

"oh that's just a cop out cause you don't know what you're talking about. why don't you try watching the movie before memorizing your lame talking points?"

"HE'S A LIAR! HE'S A LIAR!!"

"where? where did he lie?"

after that, his frustration was too incomprehensible even for me. the fool, i walked out laughing.

3. Is the store part of a chain?
Call the home office and tell them how one of their stooges likes to antagonize their customers and how he passes unsolicited judgement on what they rent. You can be sure this is what a freeper would do if positions were reversed.

4. I agree... even if it is not a chain... I would voice my concerns with
the owner. Skip the manager.. go right to the top. I love these types of experiences that DUers share.... they are so funny.

5. definitely at least call the store manager
the next day and complain. Maybe say youre taking your business to a competitor due to his rude employee behavior. Thats what Id do anyway.

6. and make sure you let them know
you'll find another video place to rent from and you'll let your friends know how returning a video to them may cause an unhealthy spike in blood pressure, and you'll be advising them to go elsewhere too

if it is a chain, they'll know all about the math involved in bad 'word of mouth'...

be nice when you complain, they'll prolly send you a gift certicate :-)

of video stores. Owner and most of the employees were, like me, raging liberals. Although it was hard, and the communities the stores are in are also very liberal, we were generally able to leave politics at the door... although I certainly recommended "Bob Roberts" an awful lot.

I would complain to the owner, or, better yet, have your friend do it, if he didn't work there. (The "anonymous customer" usually gets more respect than the ex-employee) Tell the owner his employees are unable to keep their political opinions from ruining your money-spending experience. Or send a letter- that's even better, because then they have a written complaint that can be used against this guy if he causes other problems.
