You think I'll have an apartment on Labor Day?

We just boarded up my parents house, which is farther west, and we're all going to stay there.

BTW, my Mom is Scarlet Lib here on DU, so we will try to keep you updated as long as we can, the power usually goes out though.

Actually, I'm not too worried. I went through direct hit Category 5 typhoons when I was in Okinawa, and it wasn't that bad. One time the typhoon stopped over us, and we were in the eye for almost a whole day. That was cool because we were right by the beach, and we could go out to the shore and watch it. There were 180mph winds that day, and only some car windows got damaged.

However, I think our barracks in Okinawa (it was four stories, and didn't get a scratch) was a little sturdier than a lot of houses here in Florida. Then again it might go north of us, so I don't know yet.

At least I get a 4 day weekend!!!! :)

2. Thanks...we can't leave....my parents have too many pets

and we're taking our one pet over there.

Their house is about 20-25 miles inland so it should be okay.
