5. Me too!

Some of the best books I've read recently were recommended by DUers or written by DUers. And it seems like many books get several threads when each new person reads it. It could be a sub-forum under media. I've also noticed people posting to ask for suggestions on what to read. I like this idea. When I'm not DUing, I'm usually reading library books. And DU is so hot that after learning about books here, I can often reserve them at the library before other people know about them. At least three times in the past two months I've learned about a book from DU and was able to check it out at the library or reserve it the same day, and have the librarians tell me, "You're lucky you got this now--this is going to be a very popular book."

6. It's been done.
Start a thread in the Meeting Room, and see who wants to join.

7. Yeah...We did The Grapes of Wrath
Thae Handmaid's Tale and Confederacy of Dunces...We'd do one every couple of weeks, pick a time and person to moderate, and didscuss for a day or two. Just sort of fizzled out.
