Monster Zucchini Escapes Cooking

MOONACHIE, N.J. -- They don't call it the Garden State for nothing.

A giant zucchini is growing in Moonachie.

The summer squash dangling from a trellis in Salvatore Arnone's back yard measures 5 feet, 5 inches long and growing.

The world's longest zucchini is 7 feet, 2 inches and was grown in Germany last year.

Arnone says he used Miracle-Gro as fertilizer, watered the zucchini a lot and kept the ground moist.
