Hey Blues Music fans. Very sad news
Mr. Raful Neal passed away the other day, September 1, 2004. As many of you may know, Raful was a premeire Blues Harp(harmonica for those not Blues aware) players around and he has 11 offspring, nine who are Blues musicians, the most successful of whom is Kenny Neal. Raful Neal spawned a lot of Louisiana Blues legends, such as his sons, Buddy Guy, and Lazy Lester. He influenced a great deal more. Nearly every Blues player from Louisiana has jammed with Raful at one time or another, as well as many Chicago legends. For a good album of his work, pick up "Louisiana Legend", which is now available on the Alligator label. RIP Raful Neal. You will be missed.
