11. One I know-
Folding@home. I forget site, should come up on search easily enough. It's for a bit more immediately useful information - Protein folding - but I really don't like their client software. The "screensaver" actually just opens up a window in fullscreen mode - it doesn't go away if you move the mouse or something. Also, the work units are HUGE, and they have deadlines - if you don't run the client enough, or comp isn't speedy, it'll time out before you finish. Oh yes, and if you try to run it with SETI, it'll likely steal all it's cpu power. If you do want it though, I suggest getting their console version - much much faster without the not-so-pretty graphics.
