What is you favorite color lipstick on a woman? Or do you prefer a gloss?

12. Well, I've never eaten a tube of lipstick
but I can't imagine it would taste great.
But no, just look I guess. I mean, I don't think it neccisarily looks bad, but most of the time, I don't see any improvement.

and while on the subject, I would like to share a quote I found in an MSN article one day:

"Lip liner is just about the most pointless invention I've ever seen," remarks Mike, 28, "I'm not exactly sure what it's for but I think girls use it to draw a line around their lips. What for? I don't draw a line around my nose."

5. I prefer the natural look. No lip stick.
But lip stick can be sexy so I'm not going to say that women should stop wearing it.

10. Wear something that compliments your skin tone or clothing...
Esp. if you're in a theatrical production. I used to get b*tched at for screwing up my lipstick...

13. something striking...if at all. contrasty.
hip look from about 1968 would be all right with me.
but none or just a little would be best.
don't worry about leaving smudges behind, though.
they're kind of a fun reminder later.

I'm not really into artificial stimuli. I like natural people.

22. Oh yes! Natural stuff is great as long as it doesn't taste bad.
I spent last year in Brasil (hubba hubba!) and many women there just go natural... REALLY natural!... yowza!

20. We only notice it subconsciously anyway
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 01:45 AM by jpgray
I once drove my girlfriend crazy by being unable to perceive whether or not she had 'done' her hair with any regularity. Unless it's a big event or it's very eye-catching, we don't notice consciously. Most good makeup in my view is subtle enhancement rather than eye-jarring decoration.

i donno why... maybe because in my expierence... with the girls ive dated/been friends with (in other words around long enough and consistantly enough to notice) every time they wore lipstick they would for some reason have to wear way too much makeup with it. ive never liked the whole makeup thing... i think it is basically a way to say 'i tried to look good and put effort into it' which i can apprecieate, and will compliment for that but i dont think it makes anyone look all that much better. and using too much or too frequently can give somone a 'fake' rep or something to that affect.
