Well Folks, this will be my last post for a couple of days. Wish me Luck.
It's time to stash my hard drive in a nice safe spot and get ready for this Beeeatch named Frances. For those of you looking for me on a map...I'm about 15 miles Northeast of Orlando in a little town called Oviedo. Oviedo is the hometown of the University of Central Florida.
This first bands of this monster storm are about 10 miles away from me and when it hits we'll get heavy rain for two days straight and sustained winds of 60 miles per hour. Hurricane Charley, who I am still digging out from had similar sustained winds but only last about 4-6 hours...This ones gonna be double that. So who knows what we're in for.
2 hurricanes within a month...WOW... And if you look further out into the Atlantic they've got a guy named Ivan forming... We expect to get hit by that one in about 2 weeks..;-)
He called the other day and said he was supposed to go into his bathroom to be safe and he said, "What the hell am I gonna do in there for all that time?" I guess he'll have to take in a big book to read.
...if it looks like we might have tornadoes. Every other room in the entire house has a window or sliding glass door. Got the food and water and flashlights and other stuff in there already.
My house is near Daytona, but we bugged out and are living in a hotel in Pensacola. Good luck and stay safe. I guess your arrow was correct after all. :-(
