I want to see one of these hurricane reporters to get hit with
a flying metal garbage can. Preferably Bill Hemmer, but anyone would do. CNN had a guy talking about how dangerous it is to be out there. I want to see what he means.

They go on and on and on about how dangerous it is (and it is) but there they are. Do they want some kind of award or something? For being stupid that is?

Maybe 20 years ago or more it was impressive to watch them show how strong the wind is. But they have all become caricatures of themselves standing at some angle off vertical showing how brave or dedicated or whatever they are.
