50. I have a good friend (a progressive but not a DU member)

who several years ago was annoyed that her car was acting up. It'd run and then suddenly the engine would die. Finally, one day, she dropped it off at the dealership where she had purchased it, and which happened to be across the street from where she works.

They called her on the phone and said "Lady, you won't believe this...."

Well, it seems that a family of squirrels had taken up residence in her engine, had chewed through some vital things that propelled the car forward -- there was even a dead one somewhere in the system.

Well, they removed the corpse and its mourners and replaced those engine parts that needed replacing. From that day to this, she is paranoid about squirrels and calls them Satan.

She also got a new car very soon after this episode.
