President Bush walks out of the Chagrin Falls' Popcorn Shop with a cup of frozen custard.

Bush isn't likely to defeat Democrat John Kerry here in Cuyahoga County, but he's trying. The race in Ohio overall is dead-even. Kerry's campaign noted that the dip in the unemployment rate last month occurred because 152,000 people dropped out of the labor force.
Bush has "a record of failure that's taking the country in the wrong direction," said Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer. "He is the first president who has failed to create a single new job since Herbert Hoover."
Bush has two months to close the jobs deficit before the election and shed the Hoover reference that Democrats regularly recite.
