Lost my bird but found another one.
My cockatiel is gone but I found another one (someone who had found another bird responded to my ad). I told them that the bird wasn't mine but they didn't want to keep it so I told them would take care of it until I found the owner.

I've posted a "found bird" all over the place and will probably put an ad in the paper. If there is such a thing as "karma" - I'll find my bird- right? I am forcing myself to be a good person by putting an ad in the paper on Monday even though I really don't want to....

I was really upset at losing my bird - but now for some reason - I feel much better since I got this new bird - she's very sweet. Not quite sure what THAT'S all about...

2. Thanks. Probably not very likely that I'll find him - I'm afraid.
It's like finding a needle in a haystack. There are a lot of woods around here with tons of birds making a lot of noise.

3. You may have my Cockatiel too
Well it's my son's and he is off to college -- over a year ago. "Jonni" is a nice little fella but I am not into cage birds and he should be interacted with more than I provide.

5. Birds grow on you......
just provide some new toys and continue interacting with the little guy. :)
My cockatiel is not very demanding and gives me a lot of love. :)

9. Jonnie is not very playful with me
He prefers to just hang out. He was attached to my son. He doesn't get to excited about me despite some early efforts.

12. Some birds are like that.......
but just keep being loving to him. :) I don't know, could your son get him back, or can he not have pets where he is now?

Still, be loving to the little guy and I'm sure he'll come around. :) Sometimes it takes time. :)

7. They do need to be handled every day and should be in a room w/people
If you get another bird - you won't need to give him as much attention. At the least, get him a mirror.

8. He outlived two Parakeets
He is about seven an can live for quite a few more years. No more friends will be invited to live with him, you have to stop somewhere. :-)

10. Wouldn't it be weird...
if YOUR birdie was hangin out at the place of the people who'd birdie you have? How's that for craziness. It could happen. Bird swapping! It sounds a little kinky.
