Bruce was a good dog.

My mom, DU's own flama, and her companion, Ernie, had to put down their beloved dog Bruce yesterday.

We're thinking of you and Ernie. You did what you had to do because you loved him. Our hearts are with you.

I have three dogs now and everytime I lose one I replace it right away and give it my passed dogs name.I suppose that sounds a little nutty but it helps me deal with the loss.

Saying goodbye was hard but not nearly as hard as watching him suffer. We had a copy or two of "Rainbow Bridge," Bruce and I. One copy was sent by a friend who lost her Pomeranian last year. She knows her Pom was waiting to show Bruce around.

Time to get another box of Kleenex!
