Can someone help me with this owner's manual?

I am trying to adjust the crankcase collar on my motorcycle but can't quite interpret what they want me to do here.

Move hand in vigorous motion, up and down until Funny Feeling is experienced....Wait 30-45 minutes..Repeat.

5. You need to seat the collar on the crankshaft
Apply some lubricant, firmly grab the collar and slowly start moving the collar up and down (avoid twisting). Gradually increase speed until the unit is broken in. Then have a smoke.

6. Do NOT follow diagram!
Slamming it on the end with a ball peen hammer is NOT recommended.

Besides, you might miss and hit something important like your thumb.

I think replacement needle bearings are sold at adult bookstores under the name "crank ring".
