3. tattoo pain
is the most interesting thing you'll ever feel.

it starts out somewhat unpleasant, but then it just gets better and better. by the time they're done you're sort of upset that you don't get to feel it anymore.

2. ahhh, the fundy Christians at their most persuasive....
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 01:21 AM by mike_c
Pain, anguish, blood, fear, and salvation. At least it's not as banal as "God is my co-pilot."

on edit: hey, you can even buy that slogan on a t-shirt or hoodie: http://www.themustard.com/bold_faith/body_piercing.htm

4. Now you know why it was so easy for the Spaniards to convert
the blood-thirsty, sacrifice loving MesoAmericans to Christianity. It wasn't a hard sell. It's all the same shit.

5. Honey, that one is on T-shirts all over the south.
Also bloody-passion-jesus heads stuck on the back of cars.

Knew a guy who used to go around with one of those name tag stickers on that said "Hello, I'm..." and where the blank part was for the name he put "Saved".

Jessica Simpson singing to Jesus at the VMAs.

I want a bumper sticker that says "Jesus was a middle eastern Jewish commie longhair faggot who never set foot inside a baptist church, (oh, and the disciples were his bitches)" or something like that

Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 01:28 AM by Kimber Scott
Well, not really. But, it would be f'n hysterical!

P.S. It's funny how these, I'm sure, Protestants, are aquiring a taste for Catholic iconography. Then, it's these same people who don't know Catholics are Christian, so what can one expect?

18. your a sheep...
All beliefs and philosophies have their followers/adherents. Obviously you follow some ideology of some sort. Are you a republican? If not, why? What reasoning has led you to your ideals? One could think of people on here as sheep as well - they follow kerry even when they think he is wrong on some things because they see that overall he is a positive gain. But they will vote for him anyway, put stickers on their cars, signs in their yards, volunteer time, and preach the message to all who will hear it.

Christians, democrats, humanists, etc are not all that different at a base level. Each group believes the other is wrong, and that their way is right (why would you hold a belief you did not think was right, which means you think most others are wrong? You can still have an open mind, but while having it you have a core ideal). Christians might come out and say what they feel (ie, they are right and you are wrong) whereas other groups will not be so bold. But it appears you are indeed bold enough to say their way is wrong and yours is right. A good first step....

19. Does Christianty = Liberalism and vice versa?
Just read the bible. A few things Christ said:

"What you do for the least among you - you do also for me."

"Blessed are the peace makers"

"Don't be greedy for what you don't have. Real life is not measured by how much we own."

"It is easier for a camel to jump through the eye of a needle, than it is a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven."

Don't let the religious right fool you into thinking they own or represent Christianity. Just read what Jesus actually said, and decide for yourself.
