worst decision i've ever made
yesterday while I was visiting my family my mom wanted me to take my little brother to a movie. he wanted to see Hero or Without a Paddle. I went with Without a Paddle.

how could I be so dumb? for the record whil the previews were funny, if you've seen them you've basically already seen everything funny in it. And now I just hear about how brilliant Hero was. What was I thinking?

1. Oh it wasn't totally awful for kids - my son LOVED it

though I had to grit my teeth though it -- it was a 99 minute ENTERTAINMANT for kids.

Sure some of it sucked but I though the whole DBCooper thing was kinda cool AND Burt Reynolds was great.

What did your brother think and how old is he. My son is almosy ten and it was perfect for him (plus he is a big scooby-doo fan and Mathew Lillard (Shaggy) is kind of a hero to my son) and Seth Green is also a fave due to the Austin Powers flicks where he is damn funny at times.

This film was beneath them all but they need to eat too and kids need entertainment.

3. You ever read the comments at IMDB?
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 12:44 PM by shawcomm
While helpful, some are damned funny.

My favorite is one for Envy. The comment starts out something like, "I envy anyone who hasn't seen it yet."

5. If that's the worst decision you've ever made...
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 12:47 PM by gmoney
you've lived a freakin' charmed life...

For instance, *I* decided to go to Orlando this past week for a conference... huge waste of money, huge pain in the ass evacuating, and a huge waste of time. That was just this week. (Granted, I'm better off than people who didn't get to evacuate, or who live there and will have their lives and property endangered or lost.)

Bigger and worser as I look back... my life has been nothing BUT bad decisions. Ugh.

7. I agree
I've made lots of bad decisions that have had lasting consequences, hurt other people's feelings, and have excluded better decisions.
Then there are decisions that just make me temporarily more miserable or are a bigger waste than that movie could have possibly been for you.

6. I went to see "The Beach"...
that god awful Leonardo Dicaprio movie with my aunt and uncle. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Yes, there's a sex scene in the movie and sitting through it next to them was pretty close to torture for me.

If I could selectively erase memories like they do in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" that'd be one of them.
