What cookbooks are you using now?
I am using these two:

Foolproof Chinese Cooking by Ken Hom

How to Cook Everything by Mark Bittman.

The first is really fantastic. Very much aimed for beginners too!

2. LOL
Good one.

I make up my own recipes for the most part. But I use the Joy of Cooking and the Fanny Farmer Cookbook as references. And then, anything by Julia Child is good. (sniff, miss you, Julia!)

8. I love how to cook everything!
I was going to post about that when I saw the subject. It's excellent and has many basic tips for beginning cooks.

9. Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker
I've absolutely fallen in love with Robin Robertson's Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker over the last year. The recipes are wonderful, and there's a range of difficulties and preparation times represented.
