Squeech update

Mrs. Squeech was supposed to come home last Friday.

Unfortunately, she was flying in by way of Miami, and there was the little matter of Hurricane Frances.

So she got to stay in Brazil another couple days, while the powers that be decided whether it was safe to land in Miami. (Why they couldn't re-route her through New York was a mystery-- unless they thought the convention was an equivalent national disaster :-) but then, they also fly from Sao Paolo to Dallas...)

Anyway, she finally got home yesterday, safe and sound.

This is getting to be a pattern. Last time she stayed behind in Brazil while I went home was in 2001. Her ticket home was dated September 11 and, obviously, they weren't letting anybody fly for another week after that. We must be some of those libruls Jerry Falwell said God was mad at, I guess.

And by the way, if you haven't already gotten the word, I'll be singing my anti-Smirky songs on Saturday, September 18, at the Inner Limits Lounge in Watertown MA (corner of Waverly Ave and Main St) in collaboration with my pal Tim Mungenast. The show starts at 9:30 PM, but we haven't decided yet who's gonna sing first.
