So I saw Mulholland Drive last night
Really good movie. But SPOILER ALERT***************

I think the second story was the real one. Does anyone disagree?

10. I have the key to understanding this film.
First, one must understand that The Wizard of Oz is a very important film to Mr. Lynch. He loves it because he loves dreams, and he can see that film is perhaps the best language ever to talk about dreams.

The first image in M Dr. is a pillow that the camera moves into. Sleep. The next hour+ of the film is a dream by the main character- the blonde woman. When the blue key is inserted into the box, she wakes up to the horror of her reality: specifically, that she is an unsuccessful actor and has hired a hitman to kill the brunette woman- a much more successful actor and former lover. That's teh reality. Evrything before is dream.

Once this is clear, everything else falls perfectly into place. Every story line, every detail.

It is one of the most pefectly made films of the turn of the century.

(full disclosure- I was totally confused. My brother figured it out. He's a smarty-pants.)

5. I loved Mulholland Dr.
And I'm not even a Lynch fanatic.

Best movie sex scene, ever. Doesn't matter what your orientation, so long a you're not repulsed by women.

Salon.com has a good analysis of the movie, and they come to the same conclusion you do.

12. The sex depicted really works because there's strong emotion behind it...
The women have been thrown together in this terrifying puzzle, which draws them even closer. The actors played it very well, and with great sensitivity.

Also, it doesn't hurt that both women are quite beautiful!

15. I'll try to keep this as clean as I can
but I remember the scene had lots of fondling and above-the-waist but below-the-neck licking and kissing. It was very nice, and it just makes a good movie even better.
