Today, as I watched the news, I learned a horrible thing.
Since March 2003, since the United States launched its campaign to topple Saddam, 1000 US soldiers have died. Most of these deaths came after the so called "Mission Accomplished" brewhaha when Bush declared major combat over on May 1, 2003.
Tell me, Bush, how can you say Mission Accomplished when there are 1000 mothers grieving?
Tell me, Bush, how can you say Major Combat over when there are still record numbers of troops over in Iraq?
Tell me, Bush, how can you?
How can you, Condi, to say you mourn each and every loss of a US soldier with out skipping a beat. How can you just slur it up with your next sentence on how great our president it?
Do you have no shame? Do you have no emotions?
Do you have no heart, or soul?
Can you really be that heartless?
Not every mother or father wanted their child to go over and fight. Some knew it was an unjust war.
1000 pairs of shoes now stand empty on that blood stained battle Field.
1000 flag draped coffins will now come home.
1000 men and women have served, lived, and died for this country.
Not for security. Not to end 'Global Terrorism'.
For something that will run out in 20 years.
Why must we waste another life? Why must we tear another parent from their child? Why must we send our youth over there, only to come back with nightmares?
Why must we?
1000 pair of shoes stand empty on that battle Field.
I hope someone is happy now that 1000 people are lost forever.
