You ever smell a drunk?

People who drink to excess on a regular basis smell like booze. If Bush is drinking, better for them that he not be around the kind of people who would smell it on him.

There are a lot of people who do like him who they won't let in either.

Supposedly half the country likes the worthless SOB. Supposedly. In some places most people like him--admittedly they are small towns whose citizens work in industries Bush practices laissez-faire control with, like logging and mining. They still vet every member of Bush's audiences; if you stay on DU long enough you'll see the picture someone has in his sig--it's a TV local news lady standing next to a monitor. On one side is a picture of Bush with "Invitation Only" under his face; the other has a picture of Kerry with "Public Welcome" under it.

And Bush is always fifty feet back from the edge of the stage with a whole line of brownshirts right behind him. I half expect Kerry to stage-dive into the mosh pit.
