Thieves, mail thieves at your doorbox:day of month ss checks?

Hi,
would some kind soul tell this seminewbie....

what day of the month is reputed to be hazardous...

because that is the day lots of folks get checks like ss...

and so thieves come after the postman passes by, and steal letters out of your little mailbox mounted near your front door?

I want to know when to be fast to get the letters out of my box.

answer to the ss checks coming --everybody is different--depends on birthday--

3. ss does direct deposit

usually on the third....if you are getting ss, have them deposit it directly to your bank. sometime the bank gives a couple extra bucks for direct deposit.

if you are worried about mail theft, ask your mail carrier or call your post office about a locking mail box, getting a pob...

thanks for the ideas, but ...
i dont get ss checks... just need to be wary of thieves since they would get all my mail if they are stealing.

A post office box would not help , for some complex personal reasons too long to type up.

I have heard of diff days based on birthdays, yet i have ALSO heard many times of some checks , some kind, regularly coming on some day of the month. SSI? Welfare?
