Quick Etiquette Question --

Should I be saying "thank you" to each of the fine people who say wonderful things in response to a post? On the one hand, it feels rude not to acknowledge their kindness, but on the other hand, it ups the "post count" and possibly keeps the post "higher" in a possibly unfair way. I've done both before, but I'm not really sure what the "rule" is ... ? (Or do I just "edit" the original post so everyone knows I'm appreciating them?)

1. if there's something said that you really agree with, sure.

but repetitive 'thanks' looks a little odd on the posts list.

"netiquette" and I wouldn't sweat it. Pretty much anything goes.

Thank those you are compelled to thank. I seriously doubt anyone will flame you for being overly polite.

If they do then it's truly their problem.

I'll never view post counts as competitive but that's just me.

Keep up the fine posts and do not thank me for that. (kidding)
