Do You Wait For The Other Person To Hang Up First?

Do you listen for their click? Or do you just hang up when you've both said "goodbye"?

Is there a rule? Perhaps it's the caller who should always be the first to hang up. Or maybe it's the other way around.

1. I just say Bye and hang up...But that's just me...

And if it's my mom, most of the time I just say OK, she'll say bye, and I'll hang up. Sometimes there's other stuff I'm doing and I don't say anything throughout the whole conversation, just UH HUH, Yeah. OK, Later. And then I hang up. I say Later more because I just don't like saying Goodbye.

7. Rarely do I think about it.

I probably hang up first most of the time, but everyone so often I speak with someone who I have trouble pulling myself away from and it does become an issue. :)
