Kerry Odds Lengthening

Just after the Democratic convention, Kerry was running about 1:1, but now it seems they're putting him at 3:2. Comments? Analysis?

1. Nonsense. This is just right wing propaganda.
No one has called me, or anyone I know to ask who we're going to vote for. Plus people here have made a very good point. They can't call people who only have cell phones. And there's a lot of people out there who don't have land and cell phone services.

This is just a case of wishful projection. They keep pounding the message that Kerry doesn't have a chance and some Kerry supporters will stay away from the polls. It's media manipulation at its most cynical and corrupt.

2. Careful....
Careful that you don't allow your "right wing propaganda" meme to lull you into a sense of complacency... As well as being propaganda, it is also entirely possible that this is the way the chips are falling, even if not by such a large margin.

4. It's a UK site
It lists the odds a number of online bookmakers have on the race. This is not created by propaganda ministers, this is what the betting market for the election looks like.

Maybe the Bush people have more money to put on him. Or maybe more people are betting on Bush as a consolation prize in case Kerry doesn't win. Maybe gambling men trend conservative. What do you think?

3. My less than scholarly analysis? This is 100% bullshit.
What, the Kerry campaign is just supposed to pack it up because of some people in Vegas?

Kerry is waging a very good campaign, IMO.

5. I'm just asking for comments
I'm still rooting for Kerry, I just want some analysis of this data.
