It was about 8 years ago this week that I found out I had cancer and my wife and I sweated out all those check ups after the surgery and radiation. We celebrated when we hit the five year mark and could discontinue those regular visits.

she made it through and didn't miss a single damn day of work (save for the hospitalization)

she refused to stay home even as the chemo was kicking her ass. said she was too mean to let it get her :)
