FINALLY! Tony Danza gets a talk show
The long national nightmare of a Danza-free television is OVER!

http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/news/8904-ent-danza.html

LOS ANGELES (AP) _August 9, 2004 — Tony Danza is coming back to T-V with a new daytime talk show, debuting next month.

One of the main reasons, he says, is the opportunity to book some really interesting guests. He's hoping to dip into the pool of older Hollywood actors he's friends with.

Danza also says there's an added perk to being a talk-show host. He says, "You find out as a host you got a lot of power." He says, "You get to guide the conversation where you want it to go." Former "Apprentice" contestant Ereka Vetrini will be Danza's announcer and sidekick.

2. There's this weird conspiracy to keep Tony Danza on television.
And damned if I know why.

16. Very first guest

Mary Lou Henner.

I'm joking here, but then again...

Wasn't Danza the inspiration for the character "Joey" on Friends?

19. I saw him on Broadway
In a revival of "A View From the Bridge" (a play by Arthur Miller, about the only sane Miller left in the world). He was actually really good. That was what inspired me to get involved in theatre; before then I was extremely shy...now I'm a spotlight hog!

21. LOL, tight shirts always help
Well, it wasn't just him, it was the whole performance. The woman who played his wife (don't remember her name, I was 13) was incredibly truthful.

I think another big part of it was the convincing Brooklyn accents.

15. End? Who wants it to end?
The "otts" ('00's) could be the new 70's when we actually had "celebrities" -people famous for being famous.

His smile looks way too fake to me. Well... I guess it worked for Kathie Lee for a while.
