Anyone wanna move to Canada
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 05:23 PM by HEyHEY
If you have journalistic experience, wanna live in a desert in Canada, and can legally do so, let me know. I can probably hook you up with a job at a sort of sister paper. Only those who I'll be able to vouche for please.

Although no experience - went into computers after grad school to pay bills and never took a journalism job per se...

7. I'm eligible for dual citizenship
Which I will try to get if the troglodyte gets reappointed. I would likely plan to go to Toronto or down to Halifax, though.

13. I am a Dutch - Canadian
With journalism experience in ... yes, Fort Smith, NWT.

The Slave River Journal was interesting.

Native and Inuit politics.

Are there any jobs left in the small town media?

I loved cutting my teeth up north.

16. actually I have always wanted to move to Canada
since I was born right across the river in Niagara Falls. But not to be a journalist. I already have a profession - not quite ready to switch yet. But often, when things here in the US take a major swing to the brain-dead right, I do think about moving.

18. When were you in Smith?
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 08:06 AM by democracy eh
I love that town, so peaceful, and the river, kayaker paradise with pelicans. Northern lights... and interesting town leadership. Oh by the way, they still don't have a road south, they keep trying to build a winter road through the park, but hasn't happened yet.

I love that drive in to town from Hay River, in and out of Wood Buffalo Park.

I did five years in Yellowknife

oh yeah and the Salt Flats, amazing spot
