Words of wisdom from a freeper in a parking lot
upon seeing my anti-shrub bumperstickers: "I'm voting again for Bush. He started this mess, so he should get us out of it."

I kid you not.

4.  He started this mess
Ahhhhhhhh.... the beginnings of a thought process. Wait until a few more brain cell fire and he realizes how unnecessary this "mess" was.

7. nothing surprises me any more
I was at my bestfriend's mother's birthday party talking to her crazy conservative friend who asked me if I was voting for Kerry, and I said "of course" but that I consider myself part of the ABB camp. (Don't get me wrong, I see potential in Kerry, but also feel that, the mess is so huge, no liberal candidate/admin. could live up to their potential). Anyway, I reminded her that as republicans/conservatives go, Bush is a lousy one.

And she said:

"that's why I am voting for Nader."

and then she turned around and left me, stunned.

I kid you not.

9. I think a repuke voting for Nader
is the second best scenario. If you see her again, give her all the encouragement you can

8. I Have Heard Something Similar
from someone who figures that if * gets reselected,
he and his gang will go down hard the way Nixon did.

Unfortunately, this gang can do a Watergate every day
and get away with it. In fact, they already have.

In Nixon's time, we had a Democratic Congress and a free press.
The Repub Congress and media will never do anything to stop them.

10. Twice now I have actually commented to people w/Bush bumperstickerts
that I meet on the street, "You are actually going to vote for him? In an unbelieving, semi condescending way.

It may not change their mind, but it makes me feel better.
