A gratuitous "I'm in pain tonite" whine
Hey, at least I'm honest about it... :nopity:
---

My legs are doing the ol' arthritic flare thang tonight-- I'm gonna be fighting leg cramps throughout the night. The problem is, I'm already saturated with pain pills, and they don't seem to be helping. Gonna be a long night.

Wah.

1. Opium. I recommend opium.
You should procure some from your nearest opium den post haste.

4. I have gout pain
in both feet and legs. Doctor told me three weeks ago that anything he could order to relieve the pain had a high probability of giving me another (4th) heart attack. I cannot walk across the room without hanging on to something. Trying to get a good night's sleep is beyond the realm of possible.:nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

3. Sorry about your troubles, but.....
if you had to choose between leg cramps or Bush winning in November, which would you rather have?

6. I'm sorry.
My mother has a neurological disease (can't even spell it). The only thing that seems to really work (in addition to her Neurotin) is Tylenol Arthritis Caps.
Have you tried those?

9. I'm on prescription stuff far beyond Tylenol
I wish I could get by on over the counter stuff, but I passed that point years ago.

10. My mother seemed to be as well.
But that stuff seems to ease her pain (in addition to the other stuff).

8. I feel your pain. I've just had regular leg cramps, so I can't really
relate to yours that well, except to associate it with other medical things I've had, like back pain. But I feel for you, and hope it goes away soon and that you are able to get some sleep. If you can't have more pain pills, I hear that milk has melatonin, which is a natural relaxer to help a person sleep. Chamomile tea is supposed to help someone relax and get to sleep. Don't know if you can have it, but a shot of liquor? That supposedly dulls pain.

11. Sorry, I'm a recovered alcoholic
Been sober for 22 years. Don't think I'll indulge tonite.

Now if I had a little herbal essence on hand, I may consider THAT...

13. Quinine?
You may be beyond it - but tonic ( as in gin and...) helps leg cramps. Many docs will precribe quinine tablets - but the tonic works well and is cheaper. I also apply ice packs - yucky at 3 am - but effective.
