Ok, where should I live?
I'm living near hartford right now, but I spend half my week working here and half my week working in providence for at least a few months. As soon as I can select and train a replacement I can choose either city as my full time location.

Now my question is if I should just move to boston now so that I only have an hour or so commute every day, should I stay in hartford, or should I pack up and move to providence (when I am in providence I stay in a hotel, but I could stay with friends in the hartford area if I no longer lived here so I would have more money in my expence account to play with.)

1. Try a geographical escape to The Upper Mississippi Region
sometime in your life-that's my advice. Get away from the Atlantic.
Or if you are urban there's:
Minneapolis/St. Paul, Madison, Chicago, Milwaukee...

2. From experience...
Do you think it best to live with friends? Think about it? After a couple of weeks it may get bothersome. If you do, make sure you keep any messes you make cleaned up even if they say it is no problem. Because it actually does get on the nerves when a friend stays. At first it seems like not a problem so don't let it become one. Say no, I can clean up after myself and I can help pay my part of the electricity and the phone. See what the bill for the electricity is before you move in and whatever it goes over that you should pay. I live with my dad and I have seen it is what it is!

That is just my input on the situation I hope it helps some.

Boston, Hartford, Providence....

Do Boston if you are sure the drive won't kill you, especialy in snow weather.

4. I really want to go with boston, but I think it is probably
the choice that makes the least sense in the long run.

5. Hartford is way bigger than Providence, right?
I think you have to figure if you like bigger urban/ more things to do, etc., or if you like things quieter. I am biased about big cities, I love them as there's lots to do. Never been to Providence so I can't help. The other big thing is living costs and I don't know which city is better on that subject.
