9. India? Ick. They'd probably put curry in it, or something!
Look, it's not that hard:

1 can tuna in water, drained
1 pickle, diced
1 or 2 tbsp onion, diced
1-2 hard boiled eggs, diced
miracle whip (NOT mayo) enough to get it moistened

That's it. I bet if you started now, you could get it over here in time for lunch. Could you put that on a croissant for me? Thanks!

24. Miracle Whip?
EEEEW.

Two simple tuna-salad recipes (enough to share):

#1. Cheap stuff for a sandwich

2 cans tuna in water, drained
About a 1/4 cup diced red onion
Capers to taste
Enough mayo to moisten (if you're feeling really gourmet -- olive-oil mayo, or use olive-oil-packed tuna)

#2 Nicoise -- not so cheap, not for a sandwich

Albacore tuna (if you can find it, we get canned stuff that has tuna and sea salt and that's it in the can; or, you can grill a filet)
Arrange on a bed of lettuce with blanched green beans, roasted red peppers, hard-boiled egg slices, scallions, tomatoes and olives. Dress with a simple vinegrette (balsamic is nice).

I would gnaw off my own sack before I would eat Miracle Whip.

Just sayin'.

8. Speaking of...
I saw the *infamous* french toast episode last night...Please elaborate upon just what makes this the stuff of legend? It was standard Alton far as I could tell...

12. I haven't seen the french toast episode...
But I just looked up the recipe. It looks a bit richer than most recipes (more custardy, less milky)...dunno...

http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_26808,00.html

Was it in the presentation? Talking about the science and history behind french-toast toppings while licking strawberry juice from his fingers?

(Yes, I have sad obsessions.)

No extra hot Alton-ness...It's a mystery to me. I've just heard of it referred to as the *infamous* episode so many times...

Weird.
