Our repuke governor (in MN) made the official declaration yesterday. I'm all for observing 9/11 in some respectful manner but "Patriot Day" chaps my hide.

We might be a conservative state, but we don't wallow in cheap patriotic stunts or try to turn a national tragedy into a holiday.

Can you imagine FDR trying to call December 7th "Patriot Day" during WW2?

In MA, there IS a Patriot's Day that is celebrated and there are no classes for those in school.
