TV Characters That Make You Want To Throw Up!
Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 04:24 PM by ohiosmith
I'll start with Det. Andy Sipowicz. I'm not sure who makes me more nauseous, Sipowicz or Dennis Franz himself.

2. What I've always wondered is how he gets these beautiful women...
....they fall all over themselves at Andy. EWWw.
I also can't stand Reality Show contestants.

4. Ack
Can I get on board the Sipowicz hate train? The fact that there was so much controversy over him showing his fat, hairy ass on TV was baffling to me. Who wants to see it?!

5. Anyone on Real World
Yes, I realize it's "reality TV", but we all know that the producers cast people who can fill a specific character/stereotype.

9. That's why I hate "reality" shows
The only one I watch is The Amazing Race, because I love the scenery and it's actually interesting.

The Real World was actually compelling in the very first season (at least I thought so), just because it had never been done before and it actually WAS real. But ever since then it's been crap.

Seriously though, I'm so sick of those stupid dating/humiliation shows. And the sad thing is producers will never run out of famewhores willing to degrade themselves on TV for money and 15 minutes of notoriety.

18. It used to be real, when it first started
Now it's exploitative crap about trying to catch heterobots fucking, with tokens thrown in for whatever reason.

there's no reason for them not to do an all "minority" real world. Or throw in one white person, and see them deal.

Or all gay people and a heterobot just for flavor.

12. I hate Friends
One of the worst shows ever. I'm not sure what I hate more though, the actual show, or NBC's promo department.

31. The only one I truly despised
was Rachel. What a self-absorbed character! Not likeable in the least. Her storylines made the show almost unwatchable.

8. Any character played by Andy Dick
The most annoying loser EVER to have his image transmitted over a beam of electrons.

He's the KING of all Dorks

17. Actually, I enjoyed his "wacky neighbor in the workplace" turn...
on News Radio. Generally that archetype is played as an incredibly hyper type, but Dick was low key and elliptical. However, I agree that he is very annoying in other situations.

15. Any of those Raymond people.
Everybody Hates 'Em especially the wife and the mother- whiny, passive agressive and bitchy- great role models for women there. Peter Boyle is the only one that has any decent lines. Not that I watch it, but for part of a season in 1999 maybe, I went through a phase where I saw a few episodes. :scared:

22. And all the Raymond wanna-be spinoffs, the bitch wife, the infantile
husband, the mildly amusing and entertaining but somehow rarely ever present in the home children, the closet sociopathic in-laws.

I can't believe how many spin-offs of these shows there are, and yet all I can think of when I watch them is "If I was trapped in the situation these folks are trapped in I'd fucking kill myself."

32. I totally agree
I think the trend toward producing comedies of the "Everybody Loves Raymond" genre explains why sitcoms have gone so downhill over recent years

One "Everybody Loves Raymond" was bad enough
