Chicken Wings - I took a break to bake
I had to get away from it all. So I went shopping and got a pot roast and some chicken wings. Here is my foolproof chicken wing recipe:

A family pack of wings
Italian style bread crumbs
2 eggs or egg substitute
Scant bit of oil

Heat oven to about 400 - 425 Higher temp is for high altitude
Beat the eggs or egg substitute in a bowl
Add wings to coat them
Put the bread crumbs in a bag
Add wings to the bag several at a time and shake to coat with the crumbs

I line a large pan with foil (easier cleanup) and spray with oil spray. You can just spread a scant bit of oil onto the bottom of the pan instead of the spray.

Put the wings in the pan after coating with crumbs

Bake in the oven about 1/2 hour. Then flip the wings over to brown on the other side for about 20 minutes and lower the temperature of the oven to 350 if they look like they're baking too fast . Bake until done - when the wings can easily be broken apart at the joint - or use a thermometer in the meaty part. Wings shouldn't take any more than an hour.

This is great with your favorite cole slaw. I use the slaw in a bag, with some vinegar, mayo and s&p to taste. Also, I like a plain baked potato - bake them next to the pan of chicken.

1. Yummy!
And I just happen to have some ziploc bags of chicken wings thawing in the fridge. I'll have to try this recipe. :)

I'm trying to learn how to cook. I'm not as pathetic as I used to be but I still have a long way to go.

And will be fun for a brave samurai like you! Just keep an eye on them so the wing tips don't burn. Chicken is the easiest thing to fix. You can turn these more then once. Just don't turn them too fast the first time or the skin will stick to the pan. Invest in some cheap tongs, too. You'll use them all the time.

Love your anime animation, btw!

Edit: P.S. Where in Brooklyn? I was born in East New York.

Funny thing about the little guy in my sig, he's a great cook. He keeps a giant radish with him at all times in order to test swords. :D

Edit: I'm in Flatbush. Small world!

4. also just finished baking wings
Sprinkle with Lawry's Seasoned Salt, Lawry's seasoned Pepper and Lawry's Garlic salt in equal parts. Bake at about 400º til done. Easy, delicious and Low Carb.

Next time will also add parmesan to see how that works.
