I had the best fajitas of my life, I got crushes in school, I got references. I think we're seeing a preview of next year :D and you should be grateful to the o's, we've had boston by the balls this year.

and your lead would be a lot less short if it werent for some oriole ass kicking of the sox, we actually won that season series. I havent been to an oriole game at the yard in two years, it sucks.

but I havent had the time to get up in to Baltimore, I dunno, I think its psychological too because Ive been so damn frustrated, the o's last went to the playoffs when I was in 5th grade, when I was in 5th grade I started becoming friends with one of my good friends now, I am so damned pissed at Angelos, but Tejada was a great pickup, hes hitting for both average and power and RBI, we need pitching though.

Win or lose, there is no such thing as a bad day at the ball park :)
(unless you go to Fenway for a Sox/Yanks game while wearing your Yankee gear and the Yankees get bombed...bad times...bad times...)

10. he influenced players like your boy Jeter though
I really dont think the power hitting big shortstop would have been as big as it was if Ripken hadnt played, not saying he invented that because Ernie Banks was the primere power shortstop in teh 50's and 60's, he also played 1st but Ripken did inspire people like Jeter, Nomar, A-Rod, Tejada etc. I just wish they would get their pitching together, and find some way to get Angelos to leave, goddamnit I hate him.

11. oh he had a very positive impact on the game
He helped baseball in the early 90's with his streak and, as you mentioned, helped revolutionize the SS position; however, I find his personality to be irksome and his streak, although impressive, is still not as impressive as the Iron Horse's.

13. Personality wise..
on the field, at least, he was IMO selfish because he would refuse to sit out a game (hence ending his streak) if he was hurt; this hurt the team probably. However, off the field, he's a tremendous humanitarian so he makes up for whatever he lacks on the field.
So basically, he's a regular athlete :)

14. I didnt know he was a humantarian
Yeah, I never thought he was beyond anyone, just really appreciated him. I dont know why though, I have nothing in common, I am a lefty throwing, righty hitting pitcher/first baseman/third baseman/outfielder. You know in all my years of playing baseball, the only position I never played was catcher, I actually played shortstop and second base despite being a lefty. I remember, well was it that long ago? I played shortstop when we did softball in gym, that feels sorta like yesterday honestly. Goddamn I am getting old heh.

16. ahh thats right
I sorta miss baseball a little but to be honest, I hated those fucking pants, my waist killed me, and I couldnt hit, if you wanna know the real reason I quit, but I wouldnt mind a career in sportswriting though political writing and comedy writing is on my higher priority list.
