I was on DU from the primaries until a few months ago

I made it to around 3000 posts beginning as a Clarkie (of the dems I liked him best)

I joined there mainly because I couldn't stand Dean and the Dean Borg and when I started posting in favor of Clark the borg would descend upon me and tell me to "deal with it...Dean is the nominee" heh heh

when Kerry got the nomination I got bored and started some tasty threads bashing the Chavez and Aristide goon squads with quotes from Carter, Frank, Kerry etc....but it was usually me against the socialist commie loon squad at DU

anyway, I was not registered to vote then as I had been living in Mexico for a few years, but now I am back in California and have just registered to vote as a Republican.

You could label me a moderate republican (Arnold, Rudy) or just as a swing voter, and the surest way to get swing voters to vote republican is to send them over to DU for a month or two.

I "know" the DU membership quite well, and of the people who post there maybe 5-10% are decent democrats, but the most prolific posters are tin foil munching smear artists who don't even believe in democracy, the USA, etc

I look forward to a BIG Bush Cheney win in November and in participating in this forum.

I've seen freepers on here pretending to be Deanies too, as well as Deanies who were so obnoxious and hateful that they got permanently tombstoned. I don't regard them as representative of Dean supporters in general, and would hope to recieve similar respect from others.

The primaries are over. We don't have to continue with the namecalling and attacking each other. I really would hope that we could rise above that and concentrate on the common goal.
