1. You know, Trio or Bravo

or some vaguely Italianate, artsy network showed those a couple of months ago, and we actually watched. It was every bit as bad as we both remembered, too -- we decided poor Jeff Altman must have had a crushing nose candy habit or something, to do more than one of those. I mean y'know -- one show, you could chalk it up to contractual obligations. Several is just plain sadomasochism.

2. I actually enjoyed this show
The girls were halfway cute (I was a horny young teen) and I actually thought Jeff Altman was funny. Compared to the utter shyte of today's reality shows, this one looked like The Smothers Brothers.

I'm sure if I watched it again today, I would probably feel differently.

3. I don't remember this show.
I was working nights then and i didn't watch a lot of primetime TV.

Looks like I didn't miss a whole lot.

What shocks me is the fact that Mark Evanier, a man I greatly respect and admire, had his hands all over this.

He must have did it only for the money.

4. I wathched it when it first aired on TV
it was the first time I ever saw Cheap Trick. They showed the "video" for Dream Police. It was also the first video I ever saw. Long before MTV started up.

5. I remember that show.
I was like 9 or 10, and based on one wildly popular single, Pink Lady had a Beatlemania thing going for like two minutes, until it became manifestly and inarguably clear that they and their TV show sucked asswater. Pretty wild, the way a trend can go ballistic and collapse so quickly.
